The requested Workflow action failed

The requested Workflow action failed


Issue: The requested Workflow action failed

I got following error "The requested workflow action failed." when I click on Email Approval link!


AX: AX 2012 R3
OS: Windows Server 2012 R2
SQL: SQL 2014

Solution:

I followed the two steps:

1. Redeploy SysWorkflowApprovalServices and SysWorkflowApprovalServiceGroup

We can do this in AOT (ctrl+d) then got to service groups and 



























Go to SysWorkflowApprovalServices and 
SysWorkflowApprovalServiceGroup

right click on it and click Redeploy one by one.

and 

2. Deactivate and Activate EmailApprovalServices (It might of different name in your company)


Go to Microsoft Dynamics AX, click System Administration > Services and Application integration framework > Inbound ports look for EmailApprovalService Deactivate and  Activate again and re-test!

Bingo!
